No disc I don't have the disc, since I bought the foot pedal separately. Anywhere I can download the driver without paying for another pedal?

  • chaavisto88 Dec 19, 2008

I went to that location, but didn't find any downloads for foot switch drivers...

    Any other ideas?

Thank you for the added instruction. One more question. I'm running Player Pro 2.1.0. The upgrade for my version is for XP, but my operating system is Vista. Am I sunk?

Version 2.1.0 is a version of Release 3 of DSS Player Pro. Release 3 has never been updated for Vista. If you don't want to have to buy the Release 5 update, you'll need to buy the 3 to 4 update ASAP. There are only 3 left with our distributors.
If you don't get the update, and for you to be able to work with Vista, you will need to purchase the DSS Player Pro Release 5 full version, either Dictation Module or Transcription module.
See Pro Software for more information.
One more caveat: For you to work with Vista, you will have to have an RS-25 or RS-27 Footswitch

Can I purchase a foot pedal, adaptor,(if required) and an instruction manual for synergy 8 stitch sewing machine please.

This type of machine is usually referred to as a mini sewing machine and as such it is manufactured by the million with minor styling variations and various makers' badges. They all use the same foot control and power adaptor.

The simplest solution is to search for "mini sewing machine foot pedal" or similar on eBay, but don't pay very much because the machines are simply not worth it. They can be bought new for around £50 including accessories and manual etc. I think about a£10 is what you might have to pay but honestly you'd be better off with a second hand full sized machine.

You haven't said which country you are in so I'm going with the UK. Here's a start: ELECTRIC MINI SEWING MACHINE FOOT PEDAL AND POWER LEAD

What is err code F04

It most likely is your foot pedal. Unplug your foot pedal and start the machine without it. If it works properly without the foot pedal plugged in then your foot pedal needs repaired or replaced. This worked for us with the NX400 machine and I am sure the NX450 is closely similar. Don't bother to buy a Manual if you didn't already get one with the machine. A Service manual and parts manual is best; But just so you know they don't show the error codes unless you are a qualified and authorized repair person for the machines. I got my info from the repair man where my wife buys and repairs her machines. I am an electronic technician and mechanic so I understand how this system works. I will be repairing my wife's machines from now on.

Just bought a used model singer 6233 need to know where foot pedal plugs in

Should be on the right side in a recessed portion just above the bottom of the machine. You can see it here without paying for the manual: http://www.sewusa.com/Sewing_Machine_Manuals/Singer_Manuals/Singer_1000&UP/6233_Instruction_Manual.htm

Driver Issues

My dictation pedal for the Olympus AS-4000 used to work on windows XP, but I upgraded to windows Vista and and the foot pedal no longer works. I have tried it on another XP machine and it works fine, so it can't be the foot pedal.

I have downloaded a patch from the internet, but unfortunately this does not seem to have resolved the issue.

I have contacted olympus twice and they have been very unhelpful.
