Question about Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver
While plugged into the charger, my TomTom One and its suction-cup mount came unstuck from my windshield, and the mini USB port inside the TomTom unit popped off the printed circuit board. Since the warranty expired over a year ago, I opened up the unit and attempted to put the USB input back in place, but it did not seem to work; the unit will not charge anymore. Would this require sending the unit in for repair?
It can be done with difficulty. I change them on a regular basis though as i run a repair business.
If you want me to change it I can do it for a small fee.

Can you cut the usb cable and splice it into the battery wires?
Just always have a charger connected.
