Question about HP PSC 750 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I have an IMAC computer and have connected the HP PSC 750 printer. Printing documents is no problem. When I try to use the scanner the message "Scanner Failure" is displayed. I went to the HP PSC 750 URL site and cannot find any MAC OS drivers to download. Is there a solution to this problem for Mac users.

My HP PSC 750 all-in-one Inkjet Printer won't scan. The window on the printer/scanner/copie says, "please select destination using "scan to"." I don't remember doing this before. I don't scan often, but I...

caroljust,
The 'scan to' is a message that the scanner is saying ' I do not know where to scan this document to, that is, what program. I suggest you turn it off and turn it on again and it may reset to the default setting, otherwise you have to go into some softwear that came with that psc 750 and work with the softwear and ask it to scan from taht hp softwear from the computer. My hp psc 750 the dont scan but the printer work

hi
Clean the upper part of the scanner glass with soft cotton cloth. Ensure their are no visible marks on the glass.

If the printer power cable is connected to the surge protector, connect it directly to the wall jack and then perform power cycle on it.

Follow the steps below to power cycle your all-in-one:

1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the connection port.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only.
4. Repeat steps 2-4 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the connection port from the all-in-one to your computer.

After performing power cycle, you need to perform semi-full reset.

Press and hold Cancel and the Left Arrow key on the front panel keypad, while plugging in the power cord.
Put the printer as stand alone and try copying any normal document by placing it on the scanner glass.

Issue persists check if the scanner bulb is glowing and also able to move. If the scanner bulb is either not moving or glowing, the problem is related with hardware and needs to be serviced.

cheers

My hp psc 750 all-in -one printer scanner not working

A friend of mine had a HP printer (Not a PSC 750) that he had simply plugged into his computer and was able to print properly but received the "options not set" message when he tried to scan.

The solution was to install the HP driver package for his printer.

If you are using the default Windows drivers for your printer you may need to install the HP driver package to access all of your printers functions.

Can't scan from HP psc 2400 to iMac computer

You need to set up the software on the iMac. The reason it gives you that error message is because it can't communicate with the computer and imaging software as the computer doesn't see the scanner and can't communicate with the printer's control interface. The iMac may see the printer and be able to print without any additional software because the driver package for the printer portion may already be installed with the OS X HP printer driver support. You didn't mention whether or not you could print from OS X. I am assuming you can. Faxing and copying from the unit doesn't use the computer at all and doesn't need to communicate with it. Scanning and printing do. If you can't print either then none of the driver or support software is installed and you have to set it up. You can get the instructions for setting the printer up in OS X 10.5 from HP. Just click here and it will take you to the page with the instructions.

Best wishes and cheers

Hp psc 750 printer with Vista system

The printer/scanner/copier will work with Windows Vista stated on:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00808543&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=57769&lang=en

You don't need the drivers, only for Windows 98SE to Windows XP, Mac OS 9 to Mac OS X, and Linux. Vista is 100% compatible with the HP PSC 750. Windows XP, same thing as Vista, but XP still needs the drivers to work, or not. Scanner Failure

The only thing I can surgest is that you check installed programs I found that the 750 is very fussy about being the only kid on the block. Maybe worth trying a commercial program that says it will remove "junk" from your hard drive
