Question about Cell Phones
I have an unlocked phone, however im using at&t in the us,and it wont hold reception.
i go from have 1 or 2 bars to none.
how can i fix this?
AT&T in the US is operating on the 850MHz Frequency. Most devices that are unlocked operate with AT&T but on the 1800MHz Frequency.
From my research, the device is a Tri-Band device which means it only operates on 900/1800/1900 Frequencies. In order for you to get the best service on your device it would need to be a Quad-Band frequency phone 950/900/1800/1900. You will continue to get 2-3 bars on your device because in some areas AT&T operates on 1900MHz frequency. If I'm not mistaken, AT&T is supposed to be transitioning to the 1900MHz frequency in North America because the government is banning cellular companies to use 850MHz frequency. Consult your carrier for more information on that.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
