My lock started making a buzzing sound. We changed the battery, but it is still doing it.

Have you tried cycling the lock with the door open to see if you still have the buzzing?
If not, then you have probably developed a problem with the alignment between the lock mechanism and the striker plate, and the lock is struggling to move fully.

If you have the problem regardless, then it is time to contact Schlage Customer Service for further troubleshooting and possible parts replacement.

Here is the link for on-line contact:

http://consumer.schlage.com/Service-Support/Pages/ContactUs.aspx

Or you can call them directly:

Schlage Customer Service Department 1.888.805.9837.

This link will take you to the page you need, if you need the programming and installation instructions to have a look inside the lock:

http://consumer.schlage.com/Service-Support/Pages/InstructionandManuals.aspx

Then scroll down to this heading on that page:

Electronic Security-Keypad Deadbolt BE365
There's a wealth of info under that heading. You will be able to see a PDF file of the original print instructions, as well as a video of how to install the lock. This is useful because there should be a sticker to be found on the backside of the keypad, with the code number that you need to reprogram the lock. This installation video (second item down) will be useful to allow you to disassemble it and view the sticker.
The seventh item under that same header is a video which walks you through how to reprogram the keypad to your new code, using that program code that you found on the backside of the keypad.

Good luck!

According to the installation instructions, you should not have to reprogram the lock after changing batteries.
At any rate, here is a great link where you will find videos and instructions for Schlage locks:

Do I have to reprogram my lock after changing the battery?

Does the Schlage Keypad Lock or Keypad Deadbolt need to be reprogrammed after changing the battery? The Schlage Keypad Lock and Keypad Deadbolt does not need to be reprogrammed after replacing the battery. All settings are retained in the memory of the lock, including valid user codes and the programming code.

I'm including a link to the pdf file of the complete installation and programming instructions:

How can I program my electronic keypad lock when the instructions with the programming code have been lost? The back plate of the keypad side of the lock on the exterior of the door has a sticker which includes the serial number, six digit programming code and two pre-programmed four digit user codes. The lock must be disassembled to a point the exterior of the lock can be pulled away from the door and the information on the sticker made note of.

A note about the PDF files: If you cannot view a given file, you need to first install Adobe reader. You can get the free download from here:

"How can I program my electronic keypad lock when the instructions with the Programming Code have been lost?"

The lock must be disassembled to a point the exterior of the lock can be pulled away from the door and the information on the sticker made note of.

Complete installation & programming instructions can be found here:

Notice that the above is a .pdf filetype. That means that you need to have Adobe Reader or similar installed on your computer to view it. So if you are unable to view the file, download (for free) and install Adobe Reader first. You can get it here:

http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Videos for installing and programming can be found on this page:

Scroll down and find them under the heading Electronic Security--Keypad deadbolt 365
