GL235 Solar Controller stopped working on auto. Won't sense temp in pool and auto adjust.
My Goldline GL235 has stopped auto adjusting the temperature. I relaced the in-line sensor that measures the pool temp but it still does not operate on auto. I have to flip the toggle sitch to make it come on and it is on all the time. What can I check or do I need a new board?

If water is flowing thru the panels/collectors, (look to see if the valves are opened to allow water to the collectors) if the water is flowing and it is flowing through the collectors/panels, then the water is being heated!
If you are saying the controller is set for solar operation and the sun is shining, and there is a "Demand" for heat or a "Call" for heat, and the Valve is NOT turning to allow the water to the panels, then you have a problem with either the Hayward/Goldline Controller or the Valve Actuator.

You will need two temp sensors, one for water(two wires) and one for air(the other two wires). Look at the board and you should be able to see it labeled.
On the Goldline controllers, the check sensor light flashing means the sensor on the roof is either bad, disconnected or shorted out. When the check sensor light is solid on, that indicates it is the pool sensor. Check the wiring from the controller to the sensor on the roof. If the wiring is not damaged, most likely you will need to replace the sensor. You can check the sensor with an ohmeter, it should register 10,000 ohms at 77 degrees.
