Re: RED FLASHING LIGHT
When someone say that his/her Xbox is having flashing red lights problem, It means it needs to be repaired. If you are using Cooler than
it is not a cure but a prevention. You could have used cooler before
acutally having the problem just to prevent your Xbox. But now you will
have to either get it repaired from Microsoft (in case your Xbox's
warranty is not expired, but one thing to note is that you will have to
wait for at least 3-4 weeks to get back your Xbox) or you can Fix your
Xbox's 3 Flashing red lights problem yourself with the help of DIY Video guide available on Internet. You can fix yourself without any technical knowledge. .

The adapter is bad it should turn on red and stay red until you set-up the wireless settings and then it will display green. If there is no light at all that usually mean the adapter has gone bad (I have had one go bad on me also). If by some chance you have some old routers laying around you should consider making your own wireless adapter/bridge by flashing dd-wrt (dd-wrt.com) onto both of them and setting one up as a bridge to connect your xbox too.
By bottom, do you mean as the console is laying down flat in the horizontal position? Two red lights in this position indicate overheating, however if this occurs on start up of the unit I is likely to be a voltage problem. Try the console in another room and ensure the washer/dryer and unused power is off, and try again. Ultimately you may have to have the unit sent in for service if this does not solve the problem. As the infamous Ring of Light codes, (also know as ring of death/fire) are well recognized by Microsoft and all console warranty's have been extended. You can call 18004MYXBOX and they will send you a container to transport your console back to them for repair. Good luck
try rebuilding the database and the file system in recovery consol
to get to the recovery consol press and hold the power button when ps3
is in standby mode(red light) till you hear a double beep. sometimes
the ps3 does a beep then another beep and goes back into standby thsi
is fine just release the power and quikly press and hold it again till
you get double beep.
like on my 80g system it goes like this
ps3 standby...press hold power.......beep .........beep........stanby
again....release and hold power again.......beep .........double
beep...release power now you should be in recovery menu.
you can find the solution here
Also, bear in mind that MS has extended warranty for XBOX 360 due to this problem. You can read it here http://blog.fixya.com
try to hold the red button & see if it works.
if not then turn the ps2 off & try again.
if it doesnt work then look for a nearby ps2 repair shop. dont go reparing over 90 pounds when you can get a new one.
hope for the best, eh.
