Hey,

The input / output problem is most likely due to the dvd drive or its drivers.
Do you have a restore disk to use? you could possibly attempt to restore the laptop to defaults and see if that has any positive effect on the software and the drive, if the same problem happens then the problem is definitely in the drive. How is your warranty?

I generally see these i/o problems when I attempt to install windows on a broken Cd drive.

How do I convert an ISO film to an AVI film on AVS Converter, version 7, please. John.

An ISO file is a dvd image. It needs to be burned to a blank DVD disc to use it. Use DVD Author Plus - http://www.deskshare.com/dvd-authoring-burning-software.aspx - to burn it to a DVD.

Now you can use Rip DVD Plus -http://www.deskshare.com/dvd-ripping-software.aspx - to bring it back to any format you want; AVI, MP4, etc.

it loos like you might have to coppy all the clippings that you have made the film with on to the disk too.

DVD Jumper digital copy is wmv -loaded on mosaic,

your player seems not to support the .wmv video format,

to watch it on pc try another video.player like KLMcodec, update the windows media-player codecs or useother freeware videoplayer software.
some programs give you the chance to change
the video formst of a film,
change the format of file from .wmv to .avi and reupload onto player

Hi There, I have got a DVD RW 8cm disc(recorded some video on SONY 105E DVD Camcorder) which i was not able to playback on my sony vaio laptop. Any solution to fix this problem, please

Your problem is most likely a format or codec problem.(you dont have the right one installed)
Download the free VLC media player here
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Its a free program that plays almost everything, without the need for downloading new codecs all the time.
If by chance this does not solve the problem, take note of the file extension of the file you are trying to play.
Google "extension + .avi" to find out what plays an avi file
google "extension +.mov" to find out that that is a QUICKTIME file.(which very well maybe as its very popular for movie cam formats)

If you dislike using VLC for some reason then you can buy and install the proper program to play the proper file kind *s* but VLC will play 99 % of files.

Thank you and good luck.*s*
