Have brought second hand Hitachi tv which just comes up that it has no signal. To retune i need a 4 digit code,is there any way i can by pass the code or put in something that the Tv will accept.

Hi Annette.

I'm not sure what level you're needing a code for. If you're looking for unversal remote codes to try to pair a remote to the TV, a listing can be found here
4 digit codes for TV sets including LCD Plasma and Panel TVs GE universal...

I'm not finding anything else about Hitachi TVs and a 4 digit code.

Is this 'no signal' coming in off of a cable, or off of broadcast TV? You may also want to check if there are multiple inputs and you're on a not-plugged-in input. For instance, the TV may have 3 HDMI inputs and a set of component video inputs. If, say, your cable box is connected to HDMI 2 and your DVR is plugged into HDMI 3, then if the system defaults to HDMI 1 when it turns on, perhaps it's showing some error code. You should have some sort of input select function. Try cycling through your inputs to make sure that the set is OK playing from other canned input like a DVD player. If so, then move that input through the imput ports to make sure they work.
If the TV has a direct cable coaxial hook-up, most, if not all cable companies anymore only broadcast in encrypted digital, meaning you'll need a cable box or something like a TiVo with a special cable card to see anything.

More specifics would need the make / model / year of the set.
Hoping this helps!

Entering codes to your box t /digivox/eurovox

right guys in the hope that you had everything right and unfortunatly your box gets scrambled and you need to input the newest codes manually step 1 on your remote press menuafter you do this you then press the appropriate no or code for the box you have ie.box t 1570 step 2 after you input the code and it opens the new menu/hidden menu remember you cannot access the hidden menu /or emu unless you had the firmware installed before they scrambled step 3 there will at this stage be only one or two lines in the list high lighted usually nagravision and key emu press nagravision that will scroll to another page step 4 it will then say service provider which means who ever your signal is been received from???step 5 you will then see no like 5a01written beside the service provider you must input the proper one for your provider if it is not allready there usuall when you find your provider this no. is there step 6 under this you will see two lines of no.and letters step 7 scroll down to the first line which is usually line 00 then if you have got the new line or codes you simply follow the no keys on your remote to input the no and the coloured keys to input the letters after you have the top line done you must save them by pressing on the ok button on your remote step 8 you then repeat this for the second line marked 01 input the new code again on this line press ok and on the very bottom of the screen you will see the save flash while you press the ok button step 9 you then simply press exit exit back to main screen and all should be working if not you just repeat the steps and make sure you saved the codes line 1 after you put in line 1 and line 2 after line 2 hope this makes things easier on you and helps

Text box restriction

I hope this helps and thanks for rating my effort...any other questions...shoot em to me....The Fang.

Restricting character input You can use the SetInputTextType command to restrict the characters that the user can enter in the text input dialog box. For example, suppose an application contains an input text field for users to provide a numeric value, such as their age, and that the input text field has the variable name ageVar. To ensure that the user enters only numeric values in the text input dialog box, you could add the following code to your application:
fscommand2("SetInputTextType", "ageVar", "Numeric");
When users open the input text dialog box, they can enter only numeric values in the text fields.
For more information, see SetInputTextType in the fscommand2 function entry in the Flash Lite 2.x ActionScript Language Reference.

We picked up a tv at a yard sale and the part where you connect the cable to has been pulled out. Is this repairable?

Good Day;
This is normally replaceable if the PC board was not damaged. The 'RF' connector is a soldered (crimped) on item. But don't despair; most projections that I now of have video inputs of some type.
If you have a cable, sat box or VCR you can bypass the connector by using 'RCA' cables. On one of the mentioned above devices hook the cable from box to TV. The 'box' will have a video output connector and the TV will have an input connector. The cables are color coded yellow (video), red and white (audio). Switch TV's input to correct input eg. input one, input 2.
Respond back @ mmrkcar@yahoo.com for more person to person information. Good Luck, Big Irish.
