Question about IBM (01K7207) SCSI Controller
Well i have a e series server, one scsi controller.
I need to know so many commands to monitoring the scsi work, i found ipssend, but someone tell me anothers that you can see logs, and if you change the scsi hdd show to you the sync about the new scsi controller whit all scsi controller. Any way, i want to learn about scsi and commands to work scsi on linux, you can help me with a tutorial or any digital book.

I had the same problem.
There is a cd that came with the server called "IBM RAID Support" that is a must have to reconfigure the hard drives.
It took me a week to find the ISO image.
I will upload the cd via FTP and send you the link.

Have you checked the IBM website for BIOS and any firmware to download and update for the controller? It can get to be a maze with server cards.

Not a solution: just a follow up. Did you work this out, as I have the same problem now. For others info: the xseries 206, has 2 sata connections which can be configured as a sata raid. It also has 3 hot pluggable scsi slots. When the sata drives are not connected it boots off the scsi to win server. As soon as the satas are plug in ( 1 or 2, raid or not) it wants to boot off the sata drive. Any help would be great.
