The power light went off and will not turn on what is wrong?
I received a message that the printer was off line and to turn it off and on again. I did and it will not turn on (will not respond to on off button).
Is there a blown fuse? There is power to the outlet.

Try this... it reads the level of the toner and can become faulty. This clears it.
1: Turn off power and remove toner/drum 2: Tape the little spring loaded lever just inside the printer on the upper left hand side in the *DOWN* position! Do not replace drum yet and... 3: Turn power on to printer and let it cycle. Status/Toner lights will come on as usual. 4: Turn off printer, remove tape from lever, replace drum and turn back on.
This could be a firmware fault on the main formatter board inside the printer
1. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the
print job from the printer
2. Turn the printer off, and then
turn the printer on again.
3. Go to http: www.hp.com/
Click Download Drivers and
Software. Check for the
latest firmware image version
at the bottom of the page. If
this firmware image is newer
than the one installed on the
printer and the printer can
receive a firmware update,
download the newer firmware
upgrade. Not all printer
models can receive firmware update
This is going to sound crazy, but I just spend days with the same cannot communicate with the printer problem with my Z1300. I was ready to buy a different printer when I decided to look on Lexmark's site. The fast blinking power light indicates a paper jam. I thought... sure.. uh huh. I turned off the printer, took the stack of paper out, which didn't seem jammed at all, put one piece in, turned on the power ... and the blinking had stopped. Yep ... after doing the countless fixes I found on the net... including reinstalling drivers.. deleting usb ports.. etc... it was a paper jam! The printer works fine again. Hey.. what would you expect from a printer that cost under $25. lol
