Couldn't find or open KIDS.QTR

I think this may be happening if you are running programs that use older versions of quicktime simultaneously with programs that need newer versions. I unistalled the older version (quicktime 32 bit) and the QT 7 and reinstalled the newwest version and it seemed to work. Also if you if nothing else works you can associate the kids.qtr file to open with kidsperation you can open the program too. It will give you an error that kidspiration can't open this type pf file but the program itself will open.

hi Igot3,

Question The following error occurs when opening a specific Lotus Approach file (.apr):
"Record Header Size 0x8006 bytes too small."

Cause This issue can indicate a damaged Approach file.
Answer If the error occurs when a file is accessed on a network, try bringing the file down to your local hard drive and opening it from there. If the error does not occur, you may have a damaged network card.
If the issue occurs when the file is opened locally, the file is probably damaged. In some cases, launching the database separately and importing the Approach file may resolve the issue and retain most of the Approach file design elements. In other cases, the file size for the .apr file is indicated as zero (0) bytes. In this case, there is no real data in the file and the file cannot be retrieved. The only workaround is to restore a backup copy.

Best Practices Tip: It is a good idea to create a backup copy of an Approach file before making any significant design changes. Open the file and from the File menu, choose Save As --> type a different file name. You will be prompted to also rename any associated databases which you can choose to do or not. As long as the .apr is the only file that is corrupt, the backup copy can always be associated with the current .dbf datab

My msword 2003 showing file convertor error in all files my data is v importent pls help me

ARE YOU TRYING TO OPEN WORD 2007 DOCUMENT IN WORD 2003. FOR YOUR INFORMATION, WORD 2003 CANT OPEN DOCUMENTS CREATED IN WORD 2007 FORMAT UNTIL THEY HAVE BEES SAVED IN WORD 2003 FORMAT( YOU GET THIS OPTION IN SAVE AS DIALOG BOX).

You may receive the following error:

Word cannot start the converter mswrd632.wpc
This error is cause because of f the security update for Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003 on December 8, 2009.
You may experience mail merge issues write files are parsed but no message is shown.
To resolve this issue, an affected user can unregister the mswrd632 converter by editing the registry as follows:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.

Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Text Converters\Import\MSWord6.wpc
On the Edit menu, click Delete.
Click Yes.
Exit Registry Editor.

NOTE: For x64 systems above path is slightly changed:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Applets\Wordpad
This change will effectively unregister the converter and disable it for third-party applications and for Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office will use its own text converters to open these kinds of files.
You can also fix this issue with applying the registry fix, but that is a less secure way according to Microsoft, as this fix actually creates 'AllowConversion' key in the new 'Wordpad' subfolder. (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Wordpad)
Download REG fix
There is another way to solve this issue by copying the MSWrd632.wpc file from another computer that doesn't have this issue. Make sure that this file comes from a trusted source on your network. This file can be found on the following path:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\TextConv

OR DO THIS

Go to Tools > Options > General (Tab) in Word 2003
And check "Confirm Conversion at Open"
When you next try to open the document it will prompt you with a list to convert from. Choose Word 2007 and your document will open.
Have in mind that you will have to unregister mswrd632 first, which is noted above, before you make this changes.
NOTE: If none of this works, please check that your file is not corrupted, or that you or someone else didn't add X at the end of .doc extension or vise versa. This WILL NOT work! You have to convert the document using Office 2007 or 2010.

I went into the invisible App folder under Roaming and trashed the Inspiration folder. Fired up the app Kidspiration and clicked on View Picture and viola, it works. I checked and another Inspiration folder is recreated but without the Kidspiration COS file or maybe there was some corruption. Either way, Kidspiration 3 is working. Can't launch the SpongeBob Squarepants Typing disc.

Maybe the file on the disc wasn't recorded well.
Try to insert another disc, if the file on that another disc opens, then the problem is with your disc, but if it doesn't then the poblem is with your pc.
