My battery (have tried 2 batteries) will not charge up. The HP goes fine on AC power, but just will not charge up my battery - it says it is charging the battery but it just will not run on battery power. Any ideas?

If the unit will work while in the charger, it is most likely the battery has reached the end of its useful life. If this is the original battery, you are quite fortunate it has lasted this long and have taken good care of it because these batteries seldom last more than a two or three years before needing replacement.

It looks battery completly drained and dead (as It took so much time), the best way first to check "Circuit" status in Battery through Voltmeter (poles)..or another way go to any cell phone shop and give a trial with another batterty to check status of your unit.

Battery Charge - First Use

My experience was similar to yours. The LED turned green after about only 2 hours. Because I didn't want to stay up until midnight to start playing with my Axim, I took it out of the cradle after the 2 hours and everything was fine. Besides, having downloaded and read the user's guide 2 days before receving my Axim, I knew that a green LED meant it was ready to go. 3 days later, everything is still fine and seems normal. A year ago, I received a Palm with similar initial charging requirements, and it also didn't take as long as the directions said it would.

Battery question

No, that is not typical. What might have happened is this: If there was an appointment reminder in your calendar, it could have woken up the unit and left it on till the battery was dead. There should be settings that will allow you to either disable the waking feature or make the unit turn off after being inactive for a certain amount of time.

Ipaq RZ 1710 won't switch on

If you've backed up your PDA, I'd strongly suggest trying a hard reset. This has happened before to one of my RZ1710 pda's. The only solution was to hard reset it. This can be done by pressing the two extreme left and right buttons (The Calander, and Home button) and the reset button on the bottom of your iPaq with the stylus.
