Omnitech 8.5 Digital Photo frame...no Instructions

There are no instructions on how to export pics to the frame. I have an adapter for either the computer or my scanner...but can't figure out how to get the pics to the frame.

When I use the ethernet cord from the frame to my actual scanner, it states "PC connection established. Buttons temporarily inoperative!" I messed with the buttons on the back, but no luck!
Please help!

April 1st and NOT a joke!

    No software.

    Inoperable.

    Screen says 'pc connection established'
    'buttons temporarily inoperative'.

Who tells you when it's permanent?

    Thanks :)

I have the same problem. I connected the picture frame to the computer, turned it on and received the error message "PC connection established. Buttons is temporarily inoperative!" I took your advice and found the software folder "Smartpants" on my C:\ hard drive and copied it over to my removeable storage drive, the drive that connects to the picture frame. But this still didn't work....any other suggestions?

I had this same problem and after playing with it for several hours, I discoverd the software that came with the frame was copying my photos to the "D" drive. Since my frame was connected to my computer through the "g" USB, of course the photos were never copied. So I went the the Smartparts software (that came with the frame) and found the folder which was saved on the "d' drive. I then did a simple "copy to" "g" drive (this is where my frame was connected to. If these instructions are clear, ask again and I will try to further help you. Good Luck!

I can not get my frame to change off of buttons is temporarily inoperative. I have downloaded the software called smartparts desktop. I have been able to move pictures into the software, however, it will not copy into the frame and frame still reads buttons is temporarily inoperative.

I copied the info on the G drive (Omnitech Smartparts exe.) and then "reformatted" the drive. I then let the Desktop program "optimize" the photos (went from MB size to KB size data files). Then the prompt came up to load to frame. It works fine now. ~g

I guess I will return the digital photo frame. I do not feel that I should have to pay to get instructions for a digital item. This is ridiculous! Too much greed in the world. Why wouldn't this gift have the manual included ?

You can change out your pictures by having an XD or SD Memory cards if you have a card reader for your computer plug in the memory card put the photos on to it that u want on ur pic frame and plug it in to the xd/sd card slot on the left hand side of the photo frame and there u go. If you want ur pics off the internal memory u can transfer them from the frame to the card via the options button or menu button that is.

Can't load pictures to Omnitech Digital Photo Frame Model #15242

A remote for a digital photo frame? Are you sure it is an Omnitech Photo Frame? Mine did not come with one, but here is what you can do. Just load your pictures onto an SD chip and put it in the slot in the back of the frame. Plug in the power cord and then press the exit button on the back to get out of their sample pictures. Just play around with the OK - Exit and arrows on the back of the frame and you will be able to set up a slide show with the pictures from your mem chip. If you want more help you can go to: www.product-support-omnitechnology.com or call them at 1-866-540-8831 with questions.
