Question about Canon PowerShot A710 IS Digital Camera
My canon powershot A710doesnt seem to see any of the images i have saved onto an 1 GB sd card. They are definetely there as you can read them on the computer but not on the camera which just says "no images" `Why is this? IS theRe a workaroud? i have tried saving them in loads of formats but the camera wont recognise any of themt ( theoriginals are saved as jpegs via photoshop) Will it only see images which have been taken on the camera itself and nothing else? Can you help as i wanted to use the camera as a "player" of some scanned images at a friends birthday party on friday !!!NB iam using an apple mac for saving the images. cheers Any
The reason is that the images were not created on the camera in question. Each camera model saves pictures on a card in a proprietary naming protocol, and if your images do not adhere to this, they cannot be recognised by the camera

A flash drive should not discriminate over what file you try to put on it, so long as the drive is big enough to store the file in question. Don't try to write to the flash drive directly, always transfer files already stored on your hard drive to it.

SOURCE: JUST USED MY CANON 950IS
Sounds like a card problem. Did you format the card in the camera when you first got it? If not, recommend formatting it using the camera. Look for the format option in the camera's menus. Note that this will also erase all images from the card, so make sure all pictures have been first downloaded to your computer.
