Question about Euro-Pro NV31 Infinity Vacuum

Loss of suction....HELP!

My son tried to "help" me out by vacuuming his room. He ran over a t-shirt while I was out so I have no idea how long it took him to turn the vacuum off. He said it smelled like something was burning and that the vacuum was hot. When I turn it on, there is very little suction and it is making a high pitched squeal. I checked the belt and it looks to be in good order. I also checked the hose and it too is unclogged. Now what???? Help!!!

My Dyson Vacuum DC24 suction loss.

You sound pretty savvy in your troubleshooting. Take a look at this video. You may have a split in one of your three suction hoses. I tried to find a video for a DC24 but to no avail. These two models are pretty close and this video should help you out.

I have a Hoover nano cyclonic vacuum. I completely lost suction and found the hose was clogged to the max. After removing it and changing the filter I tried to use it and it picked up dust but not much...

If the hose was clogged there's a good chance the head was clogged too. Try to stick a bent coat hanger or other semi-rigid piece down the throat at the top of the head to push the clog out through the mouth. You might have to remove the beater bar to get the clog out.

M084600 Dynamite Bagless Upright Vacuum: loss of suction...

A few weeks ago I ran into the same problem, virtually no suction. First I replaced the bad belt (make sure you fit it right or it'll destroy the belt, luckily I bought 2!) and while the vacuum sounded more "alive" it didn't seem to pick up anything any better. The final solution was taking apart the entire intake port section down to the motor and getting the collection tube. It was filled with junk all the way up. I spent over an hour clearing out gunk and animal fur throughout the tubing. Putting it back together was a cinche because the entire vacuum uses one screw type universally. The whole process was pretty intuitive and its clear it's meant to be taken apart for just this purpose.
