Question about Logitech X-230 Computer Speakers
The speakers work fine on another pc, however when trying to connect to my pc it gives weird noises ...sometimes screeching, other times scratchy and buzzy. It's the same issue in both the rear and front output, and it is in the correct output.
Check there are no lose connections such as the jack not being inserted correctly or a defective plug

If the sound only happens when sound is being played through them I would check the shielding on your connections to your sound card. Make sure that any protective coverings are in place and that the connections are tight.
If it happens at random times even when sound is not being played through them I would see if you are picking up interference such as a close cell phone, fan, ham radio operator, etc.

Tips for a great answer:

have you tried this control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select the appropriate speakers from the drop down list or click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to system devices + to expand, system speaker right click properties then select use this device (enable)
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your sound card dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
hope this helps
