On nokia e5-00 getting notification unable to send message /connection not available can not remove this problen on my cell

But if you want to get around the Nokia Messaging then here is what to do:

Go to Mail on your phone  - Options - Settings -  scroll down to email - Options - New Mailbox

Click - start and then NO to allow connections (that stops Nokia Messaging swinging into control)

Now enter your hotmail address except do not put at the end.  Put

e..g. if you email is ***** then enter mailto:*****

This is very important because if fools the phone into thinking this is a non hotmail email account. If you do not use this by pass, then when the operating system detects you are doing a hotmail, it simply tell you that it has made you a nice new bookmark for the hotmail web page.

Now enter your password - press OK

Now enter your correct hotmail address - e.g. ***** - press OK (this time you can use the yahoo)

Now you will get an error message saying unable to define settings and it will allow you to manually set the POP3 or IMAP. yahoo is of course POP3 so choose that.

OK - to the wizard intro

Mailbox POP3

Incoming mail server -

Security - SSL/TLS - very important

Outgoing mail server  -

If you yahoo was working fine but suddenly it stopped working for outbound emails, then this is the setting you now need change.

Port Number - 25 (which is the default)

Some users have reported that it only works if you use Port 587 for outbound. This depends on whether or not not ISP is port blocking or not. I suggest you try 25 and if you still cannot send emails via hotmail, then change to 587.

The wizard should now complete the setup and in the list you should now see the new email but now it needs editing further so click options - settings (on the new email you have just added).

- Connection settings

- Incoming e-mail

- change the user name to the hotmail one i.e. change  ***** to *****

leave password correct

leave incoming mail server

access point - whatever is your default - I set to always ask

mailbox name - change this to ***** i.e. your yahoo address

leave mailbox type as pop3

leave security ports SSL/TLS - this is still okay for incoming mail

leave port - default

leave APOP as OFF

change my email address to your correct hotmail one i.e. ****

change user name to your correct hotmail one i.e. *****

leave password - it should be same as for incoming mail

leave outgoing mail server

access point as you wish - mine is always ask

security ports should be StartTLS

Port - make sure it is 25 or 587 as above.

And there you should work now.

I can't get Outlook set up for my new ymail account. I keep getting asked for my user name and password. Then I get an error message: Task ' - Sending' reported error (0X800CCC92)...

my understanding is that you need to have yave yahoo plus to get this to work, yahoo plus is the paid version for you to have pop access which means be able to use an email client (like outlook) to retrieve yahoo mail there.
now if you have not paid for yahoo plus you can do the following:
1. switch your yahoo account to be localized to asia, which should also (for now) allow you to use pop access on a free yahoo account, you need to look around into the account options (Its under Account Info, Account Settings,Set Language Site and Time Zone or something like that)
2. once 1 has been completed go into yahoo and add your yahoo account, * for logon info use only your yahoo user name (not the * enter your correct password *for incoming email server: *for outgoing email server:
3. go into more settings>advance * incoming server port should be 110 *outgoing server port should be 587
good luck

I am getting the 0x80040900, can not find or connect to server. Firewall is off, spent $75 on software scan and fixes to no avail. Login and password are correct. obviously, can get on internet.

Thank you for using
FixYa for your problem

Error Message - 'The server name you entered can not be found on the network (it might be down temporarily). Please verify that you are online and that the server name is correct.'

The most common cause for this is the POP3 server is down at present, give it some hours and should be back online again

How to set up your hotmail account on samsung jet. i am on o2. it keeps telling me that i need an incoming server type (POP3 or IMAP4) an incoming server & outgoing server(SMTP) i assume that these are...

I have the following (and complete) list of settings on my Jet for my hotmail account and it is receiving and sending emails correctly. (After seeing 6 posts and none with a full solution, something needs to be done .. RAGE!!)
Account name - "random name" SMTP sever - SMTP port - 25 Secure Connection - TLS Incoming Server Type - POP3 POP3 Server - POP3 port - 995 APOP login - unchecked Secure connection - SSL Download limit - 50 IMAP4 incoming email - New (faded out tho) Retrieving option - Subject only Keep on server - checked My address - User name - Password - **my hotmail acc password** POP before SMTP - unchecked SMTP auth. - checked Same as POP3/IMAP4 - unchecked User name - Password - **my hotmail acc password**
Some tech info to help problem solve. POP3 is the technology involved with receiving email, SMTP is involved with sending. (Lots of people saying they could receive but not send, but their SMTP settings weren't correct)

Error message when using my new Microsoft Windows Mail program-

You are supposed to put the fully qualified domain name of the mail server in the SMTP server field, and the POP3 server field, like and Contact your mail service provider if you are not sure what the server names are.

The issue is: Unable to Send/Receive emails from winThe host 'POP3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'POP3', Protocol: POP3, Port:...

You are receiving this error because of one of two reasons:
1) Your email account is not set up properly. Click on Microsoft Outlook, click on Tools, then Accounts. You will see a window with columns stating Account-Type-Connection. If an account is set up then click on it then click on Properties. Click server tab and you will see the SMTP server block and the POP3 server block. Both of these fields will read as follows: and Your Internet Service Providers name will be in the XXXX. If these are not set up properly then you cannot connect to send email. If they are filled out correctly then you need to call your Internet Service Provider and inform them of your situation. Their server is not working properly.

Don't forget to 4 star this solution.

Cannot send emails out. Sometimes do not receive emails. Sometimes they go to my husband's mail address?? Get this rather long message saying: The host '' could not be found. Please...

hi Dtaillandier,
Please follow this link in which there are details of why you are not able to send/receive emails or why you are receiving errors. this is for outlook/outlook express.

The socket 11004 error also means Valid name, no data record of requested type. The requested name is valid and was found in the database, but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved for.
hence try these steps,I would request you to reconfigure your Account settings for the email server. This should resolve your issue.
please revert for any questions :
Good Luck.

The host '' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: ' Mail Account', Server: '', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

  • Problem with internet connection.
  • Incorrect anti-virus or firewall configuration.
  • Message stuck in outbox.
  • Incorrect newsgroup notification setting.

  1. Check your Outlook Express settings.
  2. If you cannot get web pages then disconnect your internet connection and reconnect it and try again.
  3. Reboot the computer and try.
  4. Still no luck? Then check your DNS numbers, remove and reinstall your internet connection or TCP/IP.
  5. This error can also appear if you have "notify me if there are any new newsgroups" check box selected but don't have a news account set up.
    • From the menu, go to Tools -> Options -> click on General tab.
    • Uncheck the "notify me if there are any new newsgroups" check box.

Important: If you have an anti-virus program installed on your computer and if you have set the anti-virus program to scan all emails automatically, then you need to change the settings in the anti-virus program to resolve this issue. To do that, you might need to turn off the option where it says "scan your email" or something like that. Refer your anti-virus manual for instructions.
