    It looks like ebay has the backlight inverter board if that is the defective part on your TV.

Check your installation: it looks like you didn't put every connector properly. If that doesn't help replace mainboard in the store: may be it's faulty.

Keeps saying video blocked, enter password

Hi there,
You have inadvertently enabled the V-chip or Parental blocking of video on this TV. Find the V-chip/Parental controls section of your manual and see if there is a default password for this tv. Also, refer to your manual on how to turn on/off the parental controls/V-chip functions.

Loud pop, picture went black, sound ok.

The loud pop might have come from a part that is mounted on the Ysustainer board or Zsustainer board. If you are able to find the replacement parts, this is a DIY keeping in mind to be very careful when working with high voltages.
Check the picture from this website and here to have a reference how the part looks like. If you open the plasma, look for a label on that board and you can go ogle to find for a part supplier.
