Re: Headset Microphone problem

Most microphones have a button switch or button, be sure that's not on and then check the microphone volume in Control Panel, Sounds

The microphone is located under the last set of keys . you can open it up and see if when u dropped it a connection came loose but my guess when u dropped it you damaged the mic itself therefore the only way to fix it would to be to get a new phone

I can't hear anything when I call

I had this problem. It appears that the solder joints on the headset jack are rather weak. When they break, the phone thinks there is a headset inserted into the jack, even when there is not. This disables the phone's built in speaker and mic. The solution in my case was to either replace the phone or have it fixed under warranty/insurance.

Dropped nokia e90; now others can't hear me

I dropped my e90 exactly onto the corner where the microphone resides. I disassembled and have found that the microphone is broken.(!) Now I am looking for a spare microphone to mount. But I am not sure if it is to be soldered or simply put on its place..

Receiver can't hear during call

I know that problem.

you have an HTC Tytn, with toppoly flex cable inside. (that's the part who connects the front panel, the lcd screen, the microphone and the front keypad with the rear panel, where the mainboard is placed)
you might need to replace that flex cable to fix your problem, but I would advise you to run and RUU (rom image update). maybe and RUU will solve the problem.

By the way, I did not ask you if you have made an hard reset before.

and other thing... before you run a rom update (RUU), please remember to backup all your data to a storage card or other safe place.

Is there a mute button on this phone?

Try using a headset temporarily.
If the headset works - then its a speaker problem that needs to be fixed.
You could get by with the headset while the service center gets you a replacement.

Treo 600 can't hear without headset

Try blowing hard on the spot where the headset plugs in. I have this same issue on my treo and a good burst of air will at times bring back the speaker/microphone.
