It depends what mount your vivitar lenses have - you can easily search ebay for mount adaptors that will allow you to use most older lenses on the 4/3 body, but you will only be able to use manual focus and need to work in aperature priority or fully manual mode. A generic adaptor for a OM, Nikon, Pentax or Contax mount should cost around $20. you should read up on them as there are some differences with how they are made and function, but basically are just mechanical coupling devices that fit the lense to the camera. remember, you lose all automatic features

Need to convert a Vivitar 70-150mm telephoto from Canon TX to Nikon FTn mounts

Vivitar made several different 70-150mm lenses. If the lens has a T-mount then you can purchase a Nikon T-mount adapter and replace the Canon one on the lens. If the lens does not have a T-mount then you're out of luck. Nikon cameras have thicker bodies than Canon cameras, and an adapter would have to have negative physical size.

If the seller advertised it as for an Olympus camera then it should have included the proper T-mount adapter that fits between the back of the lens and the camera body. The adapter should look something like this:

Dear FixYa, I got an Olympus E-620 camera. Recently a friend of mine who owned an old SIGMA AF lens ( w/ Olympus mount ) wanted to release/sell it to me. Could this lens attached to my camera with or...

As an Olympus user myself, I would not advise even if you could find an adapter. Your 620 is a 4/3 series camera with is a different frame size than the old 35mm equipment which means you will not get ideal photo quality. Yea, new lens are expensive, but losing good shots to sub par equipment costs you more in the long run in frustration.

I cannot focus one of the lenses (14-45mm) for my Olympus E500 camera, the other lens focuses fine so the problem is not with the camera.

There is nothing you can do to fix this, the lens must be sent to an Olympus service centre for repair.

Repairs are normally done on a fixed-fee basis unless the lens is still under the manufacturer's warranty, so if you visit the Olympus website for your country you can check out the fee and determine whether you're better off buying a good used lens (still a gamble, but typically £45-£60) or a brand new one. Given that you have the kit 14-45mm you might decide that the repair costs are better invested towards the far better but far more expensive 14-54mm which is a vastly better lens in terms of optical and build quality, but most casual users won't notice any difference except for the extra weight.

I have olympus e520 the camera is saying card error and i cant retrieve pictures is there any way to retreive pictures and why did this happen

It's either the card or the camera- do you have any other cards and do they work in the camera?- if the do you might try using a card reader hooked to your computer and try a program like Image rescue or Photorecovery. All camera memory cards are just that- much like the memory in a computer and vulnerable to physical and electrostatic damage

Yes and yes. Bear in mind that not all features may work. You probably won't get autofocus or metering with the Nikon D90, for example.

Vivitar lens

Can you provide model on the Vivitar and the model of the Rebel? The serial number provided is not sufficient to find exact info on the lens mount. If you take a picture of the lens mount and upload it, it's better.

Best info I can give is this ...

The Canon Rebel is an EF mount and will accept also EF-S type lenses. Once you have the mount type of the lens, you can then locate a mount adapter that will allow you to attach it to the Canon.

For example. If the VIVITAR lens has a T-Mount, then you can get one here. Realize though that old lenses do not benefit from new camera features, so autofocus and other things may not work.

Let me know more info if you can ...

Hope this helps, if so, rate a FixYa! ThankYa!
