I am the original owner of a 2005 Scion tC and my car just started doing this yesterday. My original factory security system manual only has directions for passive arming on/off programming. :(

You can take the car to the dealer and he can reprogram the remote for you. Or you can buy the programming instructions for $9.95 from here: http://www.keylessride.com/order/programming_post.asp?lbfix=yes&make=Scion&remoteyear=2005&model=tC&frid=76C74C4F

You will need a working key to reprogram your remote.

Remote starter

bad install, get a real mech (ASE) that knows how to modify cars
in this way.
id never do this, it hacks up the cars critical EFI systems.
i do know how to do it 100% perfect, but would not.!

congrats, you just broke a 100% perfect car. sorry for that....
the remote start ties into 3 critical areas ( at least)
1: starter key line.
2: the PRNL shifter wiring so you you dont run over kids, etc,
3: the EFI keyon, ECU activation wiring, (a really bad idea that)

you failed to do #3 correctly and can be real hard, if car
has any form of antithieft already installed.

how is that for a clue.? need more, ask.
the first error you did was not getting
an FSM or go to alldata dot com, and read how it works first.
then see if this hack job device has any hope at all working on this car. many dont.
on a 90s car or older this is far more easy.
this is a 2009... with antithief systems on board.

why non get in car and drive off and save all the excessive engine wear? as the op guide states.
the colder it is, and the longer the idle time , that is 90% of engine wear. my guess is you dont know that or could not care.

Yes, There are two Immobilizer bypass modules on the market that will work with your vehicle without having to sacrifice a key. Xpresskit offers the DBALL and PK9. Both require programming to function properly.

I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring. I bought it used last year, so I am not too familiar with the car alarm in it. The alarm was fine until my battery died a few months ago. After the car was jumped, the...

Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

(Your valet switch might be the toggle
(on/off) type. in this case, key on,
flip switch in opposite direction,
then turn the key off.)

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start the engine.

At this point, the only thing working would
be the keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped that way.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.
You may get 2 chirps, confirming it,
and the lights may flash twice as well.

My dodge caravan '09 keyless entry does not work at times

I've had the same problem with my 2009 Grand Caravan also.
I asked the dealer about it, but they weren't aware of anything regarding this. Since it has only happened a couple of times during the past year I haven't done anything else about it. They offered to replace the RKE fob (remote) if the problem persisted.

Any vehicle can have keyless entry installed as long as the car has power door locks.I would recommend the viper aftermarket keyless entry. It works very well.

Keyless entry system installation

The esiest way will be to ad an aftermarket central lock motor to your cars drivers door you can buy these seperatly at most alarm shops for a few dollars ,the idea is that you can hook up your ebay kit directly to this motor and this motor will drive the cars central locking. The aftermarket motor hooks up to the lock button rod in your drivers door. You will see this rod moving when you remove the trim and lock and unlock yhe door via the up/down button/knob.
