Put an o-ring on a screw a little bigger than the hole and screw it down till the oring is compressed. This has worked for me, hope it helps you

Fuel want pull into bulb on my craftsman 27cc weedwacker #711200

There are 2 fuel lines going into the back of the primer bulb. One line goes from the back of the bulb into the fuel tank, and the other goes from the back of the bulb into the carburetor. I believe that the line that goes into the fuel tank has disconnected from the back of the bulb. You will need to remove the bulb, find the line that dropped off of the bulb and into the tank, and reconnect the line to the back of the bulb.

Primer bulb sucks air through port

1. Some air in the bulb is normal, If the engine runs good, dont worry about it.

2. If the engine does not run, or does not have enough power, check to see if the fuel line has holes in it. If there is a tiny hole, it will **** mostly air.
3. The fuel line and filter inside the gas tank is probably stuck in a bad position. This would cause the trimmer to sputter and die when you still have about 1/2 tank of fuel! You may have to disassemble the gas tank and position the filter so that is is facing toward the trimmer line (towards the ground, at the bottom part of the tank).

I HAVE A RYOBI VAC/BLOWER MODEL RGBV3100 THE FUEL LINES NEED REPLACING THEY ROTTED OFF NEED TO KNOW WHICH WAY TO ROUTE FROM PRIMER BUTTON TO CARB

The small diameter line out of fuel tank (has filter in-tank on end) connects directly to the side of the carburetor that has the fuel pump....that is the cover without the hole in it. Other larger diameter fuel line out of tank connects to the longer nipple on the external purge/primer bulb. The bulb "pulls" fresh fuel from the fuel tank to the carb and then out of the carb to itself, where it then "pushes" any air/old fuel back into the fuel tank. The remaining larger diameter fuel line in this setup goes from the metering chamber (has cover with writing on it and a vent-hole) side of the carburetor to the smaller nipple on the purge/primer bulb. Again, on the primer bulb, the longer nipple has a line going directly from it to the tank. This is the return line. The shorter nipple on the bub has a line from it going to the metering chamber side of the carb. If the purge/primer bulb is on top of the carb...small line from carb body to small hole in tank with filter. Larger diameter line goes from the bulb on the fuel pump side of the carb to the larger hole in the fuel tank where sometimes the line is held in place with a nylon nipple connector that keeps the line from pulling out of the tank. Otherwise, the line should enter the tank for about 1/2" or so

I have a Ryobi 700r trimmer - I needs a diagram of all the fuel line hookups

I need to know how the fuel lines are hooked up in my ryobi gas trimmer. All of the fuel lines rotted out. I took them out and I need to know the correct connection sequences (what goes where).

line runs from little filter in tank to carb.
line from carb. to primer bulb
line from primre bulb back to gas tank.
lines are 2 sizes
need to cut at angle end of lines in tank so you can get them thru holes
and grab with needle nose plyers and pull them thru.
make sure you put the little filter on end before you pull line thru and leave
enough so filter can move around the whole tank.
second line in tank is smaller and need to cut and pull it thru hole in tank to primer bulb

How do you get the fuel line connected to the fuel filter nipple on the bottom side of the gas tank on the Ryobi 725r gas trimmer?

You must run the fuel line through the back of the tank and out the filler hole, make your connections,i used a small amount of vaseline to make the connections. Then pull the filter into place, make sure some of the nipple of the filter pokes through, then slide the retainer ring on the hose and force it onto the filter nipple.

I have a ryobi 31cc straight shaft with all the attachments. I am replacing the fuel line and need a schematic of what goes where. There are two holes under the tank reservoir and one has nothing attached...

The second hole is for the carburator return line(& primer line). Your correct their is nothing to attach it to. The line itself self seals the hole. If you inspect the old line you will see that where the line fits the hole the upper part & lower part were slightly larger in diameter. This enabled the line to seal itself in the hole when installed. If you have to replace the line, purchase a rubber washer and plastic cement and cement the line to the outside, leave about 1/4 of inch of line inside the tank. Try to buy tubing that is slightly larger then the whole which I belive is 1/8"OD. The other line is fuel supply it will have small white ring to attach the tubing to on the fuel tank.

My Ryobi 77 line trimmers revs like mad when I

Hi and welcome to FiXya. I am Kelly

What your describing it the result of fuel starvation. This can be caused by:

1. Debris in the fuel line or a crack in the fuel line
2 A clogged "fuel tank" internal pick up hose screen
3. A pinched fuel line
4. A clogged needle jet seat
5. A hole in the carb diaphram
6. Debris in the fuel air mixture screw / needle passages
7. A non vented gas tank cap.

Any of the above can cause the symtom you described. For sure it is a fuel supply problem.

I tried crossing the part numbers for just a Ryobi Model 77 and was unalbe to cross it to a working model number.

I came up with 2 different carb part numbers using a 30 CC engine

1st PN: 791-182875
2nd PN: 985624001

If you can pass the exact Model Number, I can provide you with a source for the carb or parts.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Kelly
