When you re-install the batteries I recommend you re-synch the frequency by hitting the reset button on both, the button on the box,(receiver), and the one on the bottom of the mouse.
Next you want to make sure you have the receiver as close to the mouse as possible, preferably around 12" - 24".
Next make sure you don't have any strong magnetic devices around the mouse and the receiver because magnetic frequency can disrupt the connection.
Make sure you don't have another wireless device near your mouse. Sometimes the frequencies can cause one of the two items to not work or to work intermittently.
One of the last thing I would recommend is to make sure you reboot your computer after you replace the batteries so that Windows can re-establish the connection between the devices.

One of two things are happening. The mouse has gone bad, or one of it's driver files is corrupt. Optional:(Run your anti-virus program on the drive containing the mouse drive).

Unistall the Logitech Mouseware by using the Add or Remove Programs in the Control panel. Plug in your mouse via the PS2 and reboot. When back up, windows should use the default PS2 driver. If it works, or if not, go ahead and re-install you mouse, but do not install all the other junk Logitech wants you to install.

You may even consider downloading the updated driver from Logitech for the new install.

Try cleaning the battery contacts inside the mouse with cotton and isopropyl alcohol, be careful not to spread liquid, or leave hair.

Ensure the new battery ismaking contact inside the mouse, if the battery is fine, contacts are clean and there is no problem in there, then it is probably a broken contact inside the mouse, and as you move the mouse , the mouse goes off.

Check also that the mouse is not just in need of synchronising with the computer, let us know if the mouse has power but does not work, or it is not working on the computer.
to check if it has power , try pressing the button underneath.

You insert a new battery checked. Lamp flashes and the mouse does not work But a constant amount of time and sometimes is triggered with the same battery - but very briefly

Maybe if you could specify what kind of mouse do you have: bluetooth or wireless?
Now, as a general rule, "mice" are consumible. Even good brands go bad after some time. If your mouse is acting up, take it to a repair shop and ask if they can do anything to improve it

I recently got a Vibe keyboard and mouse as a gift. Both are wireless and use one USB plug together. The model number is Kb-262. I can get the mouse to connect, but the keyboard will glitch and suddenly...

yer you are, switch the computer off, then plug in the keyboard & mouse...i'm thinking the GREEN ps2 port for the mouse & USB for the keyboard...
put batteries in them both, make sure their not dead batteries, then locate the little connect button on the bottom of them both, & the one on the receiver as well.
get a pin or something of the sort, so you can press these connect buttons.
switch the computer on, then once its booted up..press the button on the receiver @ the same time as the connect button on the keyboard,if not then the receiver first then the keyboard.
once connected, do the same with the mouse......receiver button then mouse connect button or both @ the same time...
you'll get it in the end, you'll need to do this ever time you change the batteries.

GOOD LOOK!

Dell Inspiron 531 (desktop) won?t turn on/boot

You've either got a bad motherboard or a bad processor (I'd lean to the motherboard being bad). I would honestly take this into a computer repair shop and have them check both.

I have a wireless logitech mouse and it has stopped

be sure not to use rechargeable batteries, because they run out of juice about twenty times as fast as normal batteries. it's also advised to use the better brands of batteries, like for instance duracell or energizer. if you still have problems afterwards, there may be a physical problem with the mouse. in that case it's better to replace it than to have it repaired, since the repair price will be higher than the price of a new mouse.

LX7 Mouse False Low Battery Reading

I have found that sometime these Rodents seem to have a "Taste" for a certain "Type" of AA or AAA cell, one needs to get the Highest Discharge rate one can get. Often the "Brand" of Batts supplied are the "Only" ones that seem to work 100% alla time? I have had similar problems with customers B4, and I find the Varta series of battery to be great. & remember just because you bought them "New" don't mean the Batts are always "Fresh", get batts from a place that has a high turnover.
