Check the air vent of passenger side for any obstruction and secondly keep your thermostat full towards cold side make sure the ventilator is fully closed position and rotate the air selection knob clockwise and anti clock wise two three times than set it at the required position mainly your air selector seems to be malfunctioning there is nothing wrong with the ac

I have the same problem exactly, if i turn off the ignition and then turn it back on it begins blowing cold air again. I would like to know what the problen is as it sounds like it is not unique to just my vehicle.

SOURCE: 2004 Chevy Silverado AC is blowing warm air on passenger side.

You have dual zones that are controlled by temperature actuators the passenger side has lost its memory or has gone bad you can put it in self programming by disconnecting the battery for ten minutes then hook it back up start the truck turn the temperature control on but do not touch any other controls let it go thru the self programming for about 6 to 7 minutes then select your temperature you want if it still does not work properly you may have a bad actuator or a bad connection at the actuator

SOURCE: 2005 Chevy Impala driver's side heat blows cold.

First....buy a drivers side air flow actuator at a auto parts place for dual zone heating/cooling.
(NAPA etc will have it.....or the dealer)
Open the glove compartment.....all the way....you may have to take the screws out at the bottom......look in at the heater assembly....look over to the left....you will see the two air flow actuators.
Look at the part you have and match it to the part on the heater assembly.
The actuator that is closest to the engine is the drivers side control.
Replace it.
Try your controls and check for heat and cooling on both sides.
The stepper motor in these actuators goes bad on quite a few...but over look that.....you have a great car, good for many miles of trouble free driving.

What's your problem?I have a 1996 Chevrolet Suburban. The AC is blowing out hot air. I have had the truck for 6 years, every Summer its the same thing. The ac does not get cold, I take it to the m

To clarify - - if the truck has rear and heat, you have two heater cores and two evaporator cores. The evap cores carry the freon.
If the leak is in the evap core in the front, the price is probably right.

I have 05 chevy equinox. Air conditioner works and blows cool when traveling down highway. In town it blows warmer air. Had freon checked. They emptied it out, refilled it, and checked for leaks. All was...

No you have to change for a exchange unit ,best unit to buy is a bosch replacement a touch dearer but they are the best and last a long time ,with a diode out running to earth the battery will discharge overnight .now for the AC well the problem here is the coolong fan -- should run as soon as AC is turned which is why its cold when moving as the air flow is passing through but when stopped the heat isnt being dissapated by the front rad so the AC builds up pressure and the safety switch is turning it off .

I have a 2005 silverado (texas special edition 1500) Only on the driver's side - the air conditioner begins to blow hot air it happens everyday I turn off the pickup and then restart it this...

unfortunately this always seems to be due to the system low on freon. it feeds freon into the pass. portion of the evaporator core first so when it starts to get low you lose cool on the drivers side first. I would go ahead and have an ac service performed and dye added, that way if it goes low again the leak can be found with a black light that illuminates the dye at point of leakage..
