Anyone know the TV setting to switch to for viewing the netgear. My tv is a 65 inch panasonic. Thanks.

Jim,
It depends how you connected the Netgear Push2TV adapter to your TV. The best way is to connect using an HDMI cable. Pay careful attention to which HDMI input you use in the Panasonic TV. Then using the remote control for your TV switch to that input. Usually there is a button label "Input" or "source". Make sure the Netgear Push2TV adapter is turned on and when you are switching among the various inputs you will see the Welcome screen on one that corresponds to the Netgear Push2TV adapter.

2 routers. Can i have two routers within the same workgroup. My wireless router will not work from one end of the house to the other. I need to have more than one wireless transmitter so my laptop will...

Hi,

Yes you can have the setup in your workgroup in multiple ways.

Solution1:-
The logic will be making your new wireless router to act as a wireless booster which will receive the signal from your old wireless Router and then retransmits the signal. But this needs some extra configuration on your new wireless router

1. You have to select the WDS ( wireless Distribution System) mode in the new wireless router.
2. Set the same SSID on the new wireless router.
3. In the new wireless router config page , search for the wireless signals and select your old router from that list.

The WDS mode tells the new wireless router to send/receive the wireless signal to the old wireless router.

Solution 2:-

Connect your old wireless router LAN interface to a network switch through a CAT5e UTP cable and the new wireless router to another port of the switch (use a cable which can be extended to the other room where you want the new wireless router to be placed).

Configure the same SSID you have set in the old wireless router.

Best Regards

Switch

KVM switch: This is a Keyboard video and mouse switch. It is used to connect multiple computer/servers to the same Keyboard Monitor and mouse. It is typically use in Racks housing multiple servers to swap between server without having to use a Keyboard Mouse and a Monitor per server.
SMC switch: I believe is a brand for Ethernet switches, used to connect computer together in the same LAN.

Wifi access

Find the router and locate yourself as close as possible to it. If you are in the guest house and the router is in a main house, try opening a window or door if you can see the house out it, as wifi works better with less obstructions in between you and the access point.

Need directions to install a dch70 box to tv

dear woolifer ,
I am not an expert but i hope i can help you..
is it youmean digital cablebox?
if it is try this-

This is a problem a lot of people have with coaxial-only televisions because DVD players do not have coaxial (RF) outputs, which means they can't be connected directly into a television with only a coaxial (RF) input. The solution is to purchase a RF modulator, which is a small device that will convert the AV output from the DVD player to coaxial (RF).
As for the instructions, I am going to assume the DVD player is not a combo unit with the VCR, and that you want to record TV on your VCR. Step 4 will include connecting your DVD player, but if the DVD player is a combo unit with the VCR, just ignore step 4 part as DVD connection will be included in the VCR set up. Actually, you wouldn't need the RF modulator if it is a VCD/DVD combo unit.
  1. Connect the coaxial cable coming out from the wall to your digital cable box in the ‘video in’ slot. It might also be labeled ‘antenna in’ or ‘cable in’.
  2. From the cable box, connect a coaxial or composite (yellow video cable) and stereo (red-white) RCA audio cables to the VIDEO IN terminal on your VCR.
  3. From the VCR, you will have to connect this to the RF Modulator using a coaxial cable from the VIDEO OUT on the VCR to one of the IN ports on your RF modulator.
  4. You can now connect your DVD player to the RF Modulator by using the yellow-red-white composite/RCA cables from the VIDEO OUT on the DVD player to another port on the RF modulator.
  5. From the RF modulator, connect this unit to your TV by using a coaxial cable. It will be from the VIDEO OUT on the RF modulator to the VIDEO IN or CABLE or ANTENNA IN port on your television.
This should be all you need to get started watching your digital television. In simple terms here is what you did:
Coaxial from wall to cable box
Cable box to VCR
VCR to RF modulator
DVD player to RF Modulator
RF modulator to TV
You will only be able to record what is on channel

Xbox and tivo

What is the error you're getting from the XBox? Log into the console with no game in the tray and go to the network settings and try to detect the network connection.
Also, did you get that router from Vonage? Their support page for that router is HERE: http://www.vonage.com/help.php?article=1087&category=103&nav=3 and may be able to provide you with additional information.
