Question about Acer TravelMate 272XC Notebook
You need to check the bios and make sure the WIFI is turned on in the bios setup screen. When your system is booting you should see a setup option. Make sure it is on. If it is on you may need to install or reinstall the wifi network driver for your computer. Go to the Acer website to download the updated wifi drivers.

There is usually either a button or a slide switch that controls if the wifi is on or not. It is marked with an icon that looks like a tower with two curved bars coming out of each side. Be sure that switch is set to "on". Secondly, you will see a small icon in your system tray (bottom right hand side of your screen) that looks like two little computer monitors. You need to click on that and have it search for wireless networks. Once you find your wireless router simply click on that router and click connect.
