When starting the vehicle, the unit gets a surge. disconnect before starting the car. If it has a cig lighter power adapter, it was not meant to stay plugged in 24-7

Loss of signal

It is most lkely the battery, chane the battery and recharge it. batteries collapse after about 2 -3 years depending on use and abuse. If you have it plugged in when starting the engine the battery will deteriorate quicker and eventuslly fail. resting the battery can cause some charge to return, often sufficient to run it for short periods before it once again fails due to output being greater than the chrging rate.

Tom tom wont turn on

Have you tried the hard reset? Depending on your model, it'll either be a small pin hole underneath the unit - or if this can't be seen, you hold the 'on/off' button in for 15 seconds. Assuming there's some charge in the internal battery, this will cause the unit to hard reset, and if it's not faulty, should restart over again.

Tom Tom One

arrange for it to be returned & repaired.

Reset the unit by pushing a bent paperclip or pin into the hole on the bottom marked 'reset' turn it back on, plug it in & charge it via USB overnight or as long as you can in the car, make sure the led on the top is green, tap the bottom right of the screen & check the battery symbol on the unit says charging underneath.

If this doesn't help.
