Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty
One bad lead can cause a computer to fail to detect a hard drive continue on a cycle or to shutdown
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA and
the leads from your motherboard to your hard drive make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
hope this helps
I tried different power supply but its still not powering up. But when i remove the 4 pin 12V cable from power supply the cpu fan is rolling, it means that the power supply is working but when i tried to connect the 4 pin then the cpu fan stop just a second and never rolled on. The main problem is the 4 pin, the model is Asus P5P800-VM. I tried to reset the cmos and replaced the battery but it wont work out. Please help me!!!
Try to replace the power supply with another known working power supply from another P4 desktop and then reconnect your wires from the front panel led lights, changing them around until they are in the correct position. I had an almost similar problem and I did the above, it is working now. All the best !
Did you try to unplug all AC Power; remove internal surface battery; and then jumper the 'reset' pins from 1-2 to 2-3 ?
Leave in this state for about 5 minutes- then replace battery; re-jumper back to pins 1-2- replace AC power cord.
Sometimes wiping out the BIOS setup information and restarting/re-setting it up will do the trick!
more than sure if you have replaced the power supply already and the computer still not working, there must be a electrical damage to the board. it is sure that.but you have to check some other components too seeing that they are stuck in the board, like the procesor and ramm dims or the video card..the electrical charge may have affect them too. but 1st thing to do is to change the mainboard.. oh by the way...just to be sure..try to make a bios reset..maybe it will work and pull out the ramms from the computer..put them back after...ussualy this works... good luck and let me know about bye
