Question about RCA D52W19 52" Rear Projection Television
It's not just any old piece of wire. It must be insulated to withstand the 30,000 volts the wire inside the insulation must carry. Look carefully at the old flyback, there may be a gray cap around the old lead. The cap has a "push and twist" to release it, thereby allowing removal of the lead. Removes much like the old style panel mount fuse caps used in older equipment.
