Question about Sony Mavica MVC-CD250 Digital Camera

I have a sony mvc-cd250 digital camera. It won't come on with the battery installed. When I plug in the battery charger it comes on and will take pics. help if you can. Jim

    Hello Lollirita---when I first had this problem I went to walmart and purchased a new battery. Installed new battery and still nothing. I hate to go buy another battery because they are not cheap. Any other syggestions. Jim

    Hi there..my MVC-cd250 camera will not power up with a new battery.it will power when the ac plug is on.It say on sonys website that i have to send it in for repair..i wonder what it could be?

Think you might need a new battery if it works on power then the battery obviously dead good luck

Friend has a F-707 only shows black screen when powered on, Battery charged.

Did you try going to the SONY web site, locating your camera model there, and then downloading the camera's software that way? This is done often for many things when the original CD is missing or defective...and it's usually free.

Camera shut off during photos and will not turn back on


camera is not not recoginising the battery may there be a battery type mismatch or battery type is not provided correctly in the software of camera
