Question about HP Compaq Evo Notebook N600c
I am considering a purchase of the evo 400c. I need it for my daughter who is a freshman in college. Will this laptop handle her needs? She is not a gamer just uses her laptop for research and facebook and such. Will this computer handle it?
Sure, just make sure it has a decent size hard drive, minimum of 80 gig, or she may need a seperate drive for storage that she can keep at home thus taking care of that, I havs just seen portable usb drives for $50-80.00. And make sure she has a dvd drive, that is a must have. She will need eithe xp or vista, most programs are running xp, and Vista now. And at least a gig of ram, if it's XP she can get away with 512mgs, but vista needs more memory and resoursourses as it is ram intensive. That should do it Good luck to you both,, andthat is a great gift for a dad toi give his daughter, I have grandkids, and they are really getting into computers at age 6-7. Peace be with you,Gym
