My computer is infected with lasa.blaster.keyloger and i cannot activate any programs except the internet. can uou help? Is there aan answer? I can not get my e-mails.

Reboot in safe mode (this is done by restarting the computer and pressing the F8 key, which will give you a list of bootup options. Select Safe Mode.) From safe mode, download the following anti-virus programs: AVG, Spybot Search and Destroy, and CCleaner. All these programs are free, very effective, and can all be downloaded from www.filehippo.com. Once they have been downloaded, install them and run scans. All three should get the virus out.

Is there a safe way to exit safe mode? Currently I am pushing the power button.

Hi,

you can exit safe mode by restarting the computer
start->shutdown-restart however if the computer reboots only in safe mode you can check one option in system configuration utlity

start-run-msconfig-boot.ini..make sure safeboot is not selected.

Restarts computer in loop at 5-8 minutes of boot

Please try install XP SP3 in safe mode. Then check whether you have the latest Graphics Card Driver. It seems like some driver issue as it reboots only in Normal mode. Since safe mode runs on minimalset of hardware drivers.
Secondly, there may be a corrupt file that caused reboot. Spend a night and schedule bad sector check - Right click on system drive, Tools tab, Error Checking -> Check Now, tick both boxes then Start. It will schedule scan on next reboot. Then reboot to confirm it starts checking HD.

I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR UR SERVICE, JUST GOT DISCONNECTED

On an uninfected computer go to http://www.symantec.com/content/en/us/global/removal_tool/threat_writeups/D.exe to download the removal tool. If you are running XP, disable system restore then run the file you downloaded and let it run its course.
If the tool won't run, restart the computer in Safe Mode then rerun the tool. When it has removed the threat, reboot the computer and run the tool again to make sure it removed the worm in its entirety. If you are using XP, re-enable system restore.
