I have had my G1 for 4 days , In that time I have ironed out a few of the usual problems and iit all seemed to be OK But now when I try to watch fonejacker videos on youtube I get a window on top of the video saying Cannot play video Sorry this video cannot be played. The most annoying thing is the sound continues and the video is actually playing under the window that says it cannot be played.. So if the window that says it cannot be played was gone I could watch it as it still plays it , just the window popping up is the problem. Anyone else had this problem ? Also I could not play any youtube from the desktop icon only through google search or address bar , this problem comes and goes its fine for now but tommorow the problem may come back. ??? And finaly every now and then the screen will not respond to my fingers commands , The box will go orange but nothing happens but if i use the mouse ball thing then it works , Any help with any of the above will be great.

the mobile requires a service with solution dipped in liquid, as few resisitors and capcitors might have been still corrosive, i think you please leave the phone without battery in room temp of 26-30 deg ... for a day or two...
when ever your phone has been submerged, u must always turn it off straight away, take the back off and allow to dry for several days, do not put in tumble dryer! if a problem still persists then yes u will have to change circuit board, could be very costly, could also try ebay
Hello, The best solution is to call your carrier and ask for your unlock code "WHICH IS FREE" if you are more then 90 days with them, they usually give you the codewith in 5 - 10 business days. Or you can order one online and get it within 5 - 10 minutes and key inthe code, it takes less then 30 seconds to unlock it yourself. You can get one for $18 from here
it usually takes more time for videos to download on your phone than it does on a regular computer. cellular file transsfer isnt fast enough to stream vvideos of high quality. it would help to pause the video for awile and let it download and then watch it. either that or you can take the videos url from youtube and goto keepvid.com and you can download the entire video and watch it after it completes. alwqays sselect the .mp4 version of videos since .flv videos arent yet compatible with g1 yet flash support will be coming soon
i know how it sucks when you purchase a new mobile and you face something like this. But i have an answer for you. i had the same problem last week and i have found a solution from one of my friends. this problem happens when you open many programs at the same time and the programs are stiull running under. To solve the problem go ahead and turn off your G1 mobile for about 30 seconds. it will start working when you turn on your G1. turning off your G1 will close all the programs running under...good luck
Hi, I had that problem. I first verified that my TMobile internet was activated on my account and on my SIM card by putting the card in another phone and connecting to the 'net on it. Then I found the APN setting on the G1 and I changed the APN at the heading "T-Mobile US" from the new 3G APN "epc.tmobile.com" to the older APN "internet2.voicestream.com". The APNs can be accessed on your still-locked phone by pushing the "Menu" button at the sign-in screen. Scroll down to "T-Mobile US", select it and change "epc.tmobile.com" to "internet2.voicestream.com", exit by pushing the left-arrow button a few times, then re-enter your GMail info. If the "Edge" icon has appeared in the menu bar area, then you're golden!
I had the same problem and resolved it next way. First backed up all my contacts on G1 with myBackup, then deleted all my contacts on Google from laptop. Autosync all the time was on, so all contacts was deleted from my G1 also. After that I restarted the phone, and restored my contacts with myBackup. When my G1 tried to sync it asked me what to do, because it have too many items to delete (from "All contacts" category on Google). I've chose "delete". You may try other choice. After few minutes I've had exact all my contacts from G1 on Google no less, no more, and no sync error. Remember: just in case, backup all your contacts on G1 or Google before deleting them, to prevent them from beeing lost!! Good luck.
