Question about Brother Multi-Function Center MFC-240C All-In-One InkJet Printer
First install the driver disk that came with your printer (you should be able to just put the disk in the cd/dvd drive and the program will start to install automatically. Make sure the printer cable is unplugged. Then just follow the prompts for the program. The program will tell you when to plug in the cable. If you are unsure of where to plug in the cable, lift the scanner bed (not the little door where you put the document to be scanned) which is located on the right side underneath the document plate. On the right side closest to you, you will see a connection point shaped like the small end of your usb cable that came with the printer. Plug it in then route the cable in the slot that runs front to back and out from under the scanner top. Plug the flat end into your computer and you should be good to go. I hope this answers your question...
