That is weird... try to unplug the box and shut off the router believe it or not the router will affect the tv. and then turn them both back on and see how that works other wise call 888-553-1555... they will walk you through it on the phone. trust me my guys r good.

found the problem after reading a post on this site. Last thing I used was DVD player so disconnected DVD Sony player, followed the factory reset instructions and now the volume works normally! It was the DVD player. Thank you so much for the info and lead. The problem is DVD not TV,
If it's a new TV, then it might just be as high as it goes. A lot of HDTVs don't come with great speakers due to the small flat feature of the TV not allowing anything better.

I've personally heard that sound bar and they are surprisingly loud and hardly take up any room at all.
If your TV is connected to a Comcast cable box that has a volume control on it with its on screen volume at the top of the picture. Turn it up until the word "stereo" appears and then only use the TV's volume control. This should fix the problem and allow you to enjoy stereo audio.
Do the controls on the tv itself work or just the remote? If it's the remote mabey it's defective. I would look on the Ilo site and see if they recommend a universal remote for their models ( or just getting yours replaced ). If the problem is within the tv, I'd look into the warranty. Sorry if this wasn't any help.
