yes, there are solutions right now

if you want to enjoy DVD moive on Gphone use DVD to Gphone converter, it rip video from DVD and convert the video to Gphone compatible.

if you want to see video , please use Gphone video converter

It's not possible to record videos for now. it will be probably come soon in an os update or in 3rd party app. Just be patient or start coding! ;)
