Try resigning in... Re-enter your email and password for the psn correctly. If there's is a updated user agreement, accept it. Playstation network won't allow you to connect without agreeing.

I got a message that said the hard disk drive was corrupted. What does this mean?


There are some "guides" posted on the internet that will claim you can fix a corrupted hard drive by simply restoring the factory default settings on your Playstation 3. In practice, this rarely ever works, and if it does manage to make the error message disappear, it's guaranteed to be only a temporary "fix".

The only real solution to this problem is to have your PS3 serviced by a professional, whether it be Sony's technical support department or an authorized third-party repair shop.

Hello to all my fellow PSN fans, I'm gamer tag SPAZO69 on PSN; I too am having the same issues as most of you all with error message 8001050F. I am here to officially post to you all that I have taken the time to call Playstation Support. After speaking with their technician, the problem is on their end, rests assure as long as you are getting that error message only, (8001050F) your consoles are not broken at all. Don't even format your hard drive like I did, you will lose everything and the error message will still be there. The problem is according to the technician is somehow some way a bug leaked out their servers causing first and second generation ps3s to crash-it is more software related than hardware. They are working on a solution, the technician did say that if needed too, they will have all the ps3's affected by this sent to them for repair at no cost to us but they're not anticipating this to be a solution. So everybody, don't give up on your console, don’t go wasting money unnecessarily buying a slim unless your pockets are fat like that, just sit it out, give them the benefit of the doubt, things happen, for the most part, I think we all can agree that the playstation 3 is a very solidly built console and Sony always stand behind their products unlike Microsoft and their poorly designed xbox360. If anyone wants to call for themselves and speak to a technician for their own peace of mind, call them at (800) 345 7669. Make sure you have your model and serial number ready when you call. Well that’s it, that’s the story I got directly from Sony. Good luck to you all.

Error 8001050F or Txt_ps3trophy_error Sony PSN Playstation Network


This is a brief Tip for everyone currently panicking today about receiving the 8001050F or Txt_ps3trophy_error

This problem has just been identified by Sony as a current and widespread issue within the PSN Network starting from today and so it is not confined to your console alone.

Breathe sigh of relief now!

There are reports that this problem is mainly effecting the PS3 Fat consoles and may in fact be related to a firmware glitch with the PS3 Fat. Some console owners have reported that this glitch is causing the date to roll back on the PS3 Fat and causing synch issues to occur with the PSN Network synchronisation.

Symptoms may include:

1) Total inability to connect to PSN Network.

2) Crashes during Gameplay.

3) Failure to synchronise trophies for registration which results even in offline games crashing.

4) Error messages as outlined.

Even disconnecting from the internet makes no difference to this symptom.

Solution: Do nothing but sit tight and wait for further word from Sony to confirm the issue and what action needs to be taken (if any).

Error 8001050F has in the past been associated with hardware failure but this Tip is written to pass on some assurance that this is unlikely to be the case at this present moment in time.

This error states that you have not agreed to the Terms and Agreements with your First ps3 account. Go back on your previous account and agree the the Terms and Agreements, and you'll be set. Thank you for using FixYa! =)

Another player asked to join my game while i was in my pod, when i agreed they entered and took control of the game leaving my controller useless. Fearing a hacker i quit the game and doing this made the...


They can't ask you to join your game, they ask you to join their game. When you say YES, once the level is complete or they choose to exit, you return to their pod and they do have total control because they are the host of your online session. Don't worry, you're not being hacked or anything, it's just hosting privledges. Fun game and it's even better online.

I take people to ledges by dragging them and then smack them off (Hold in L2 and R2 together and wiggle your joysticks). Get ready for LBP2!
