Man u can solve this matter from the bios,

when u turn on ur laptop hit F2 button, "to enter to the bios",
then go to the advanced tab, then go to " sata controller mode " and make sure that value = compatible

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L45-S7423 i have installed windows xpsp2 in this laptop. but i need all the drivers like vga, sound, wifi

The easiest way is to go to Microsoft website & log onto drivers. Choose the particular driver you are looking for, for what accessosy, like vga, sound, etc. Download to your hard drive & install it. Reboot after successful installation. Try the sound or set vga to newly installed driver. This may solve your problem.

Alright so what you need is the Toshiba Value Added Package (TVAP). I went to the Toshiba website and found all the drivers for your laptop. I didn't find the TVAP for your model and I don't believe that one exists for xp on your model as it is with most other newer Toshibas on the market. What you can try doing is downloading the hotkey utilities from the link below. Before doing so make sure that you have uninstalled the TVAP thats already on your computer, if there is one. If this doesn't work than you'll need the toshiba common module driver also. Heres the link.

I have a toshiba satellite a205-5000 laptop it came with Vista, I want to put XP Pro instead, but it doesn't find the drive when you install. What do I need to do?

Hi, its because its a new laptop, you have a sata hard drive in the laptop which requires sata drivers to install older versions like windows xp, only problem is none of the companys are releasing the drivers to put xp on them, so im afraid your stuck with vista on it. due to the sata hard drive.

All the best
