Depending on how long ago this happened, put your phone in a bowl of rice with the battery out of the phone. This sometimes helps. Other people have benefitted from that. Under the battery there should be a white square somewhere on the phone behind the battery. If that is any color other than white, then liquid has reached the board and you would have to get a replacement.

Wet blackberry bold 9900 and flashlight wont turn off

Well first you went wrong by plugging it in, honestly your best bet now is to put it in a package of rice to soak up all the water and hopefully it works from there. Although I hope someone can give you some better advice.

Water damage in blackberry 9000. how to repair it. i have lost it's bill on airport

Hi,

As the mobile is wet the circuit board inside the mobile will be fully wet. Due to this the connections between the circuits get connected (short circuited) and the mobile may behave in such a manner that it should not behave. NEVER put the wet mobile in charger even though it is dry and working properly. There may be water logs present in the mobile circuit which may be dangerous to the person who is using the mobile. It may lead to electric shock.

Take the mobile to the authorized dealer of your make and they will remove the water log from the mobile circuit board and it will be fine .I recommend you not to do this by yourself.

Thank You

If it is that this phone fell or the keypad got wet, some work has to be done on the phones hardware, you will need to take the phone in for repair.

Blackberry buttons not working

Did it get wet by any chance? If so you need to clean the waterdamage. Disassemble it and brush it out with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. Let it dry and clean again. If it doesn't work after that you need a new logic board. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to. Blackberry Repair. If you want to do it yourself, here is an Blackberry Repair Guide that shows how to open a Blackberry. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to Blackberry Repair.

My blackberry pearl trackball doesnt work

Take it where you bought it and try to get it replaced, saying it's defective. Hopefully you're under warranty, unlike myself who has a **** blackberry who's radio keeps turning off randomly and won't make or recieve calls without having to manually reconnect 'mobile network' hundreds of times a day. Your phone must have got really wet though because buttons and **** don't ******* unless exposed to extremly wet conditions (trust me, I know). I'd like an iphone over this **** for damn sure but i'm stuck with any annoying and fairly useless phone for now.

My blackberry pearl flip got wet

Sorry to tell you but the back light on your blackberry pearl probably burnt out. That is one of the most common issues with a wet phone.

You can find blackberry flip 8230 and 8230 LCD screen replacements on ebay. Took a while but they are available now.

They are a little tricky to replace but not to hard.

Checkout the guide I wrote for replacing the blackberry flip LCD displayscreen. There are also links to by the new pearl flip LCD screens2.gif

Keys Not Working after Water

there is an area under the track ball that goes bad if it get's wet. Cleaning that area with a brush can sometime get it up and running again. If you're out of warranty try to remove the trackball and clean the area below it if necessary. There is a Blackberry Repair Guide that shows how to open a Blackberry and remove the track ball yourself.
