Question about HP Compaq nx9030 Notebook
My screen goes dark (I can see the screen but with no light) as soon as I move the lid / screen. Currently the screen is ON only in two very unconfortable lid positions (45 degree and 120 degree of opening).
Is this a problem of the Screen, the Back Light or the Inverter ?
How do I solve the problem ?
Thank you for the help.
One of two things.
Either your inverter gets unpluged (therefore it isn't plugged in correctly in the lappy) unless it's moved to a certain position (so don't shake your lappy or else you might see nothing), those being positions where theres slight pressure on the connector, even though it's loose or unplugged (POSSIBLY faulty, but most likely not, if it turns out it is, other than resoldering it, you'll need to return it for a fixing up.)
The switch that turns your screen off when the lappy closes is faulty (if it's located near the back of your laptop, aka. under the lappy's LCD bezel.
Opening it up and unpluging and pluging in the inverter is probably what the solution is. A tech might do it for free if you're nice (or you could do it yourself, don't loose any screws :) )
Hopefully it is just a loose connection and isn't a big deal at all to fix.
