I am an author, my book on Amazon for the last year. How do I find out about royalties or how many sales it has had?

Probably because it's a Blu-ray disc, which Apple doesn't support. Probably a patent royalty argument between Apple and Sony, since you can buy third-party readers and software that let the Mac read the discs. They aren't cheap, again thanks to those patent royalties.

No, Harley-Davidson is very protective of their copyrighted materials. If a downloadable version of any of their manuals appears online, it doesn't stay up too long. I would suspect the site owner gets a call from Harley-Davidson's legal department. If you want a service manual, you'll have to buy an OEM manual from Harley or any retailer authorized to sell them. Other brands of manuals, such as Clymer's, are available. They pay Harley a royalty I assume to print their manuals.

Microsoft office is developed by Microsoft and It takes years with dedicated staff and many other things to develop this. Microsoft once invests in making these products would go bankrupt if they start giving out these for free. Hence, they require royalty from users to stopping their company from bankruptcy. Thus we can't get that for free we have to pay and get it.

As far as I know, there is no book sales tracking for authors except the Amazon Best Selling list. The only way to see how much of smth is sold is if you sell it through your own store or use Amazon Marketplace
