What is the advanced settings on my cam supposed to be?

The Logitech QuickCam is a webcam for Windows-based notebooks and laptop computers. The device also works on desktop computers, but contains the mounting hardware for portable computers. The webcam includes a USB connection, utility application and the device driver so your notebook's operating system can recognize the device. Like other webcams, you need to focus your Logitech QuickCam so individuals viewing you on the Internet or through other means can see you clearly. Open the Logitech QuickCam utility program by clicking on the program's icon on your computer's desktop or by clicking "Start," "All Programs," "Logitech," " Logitech QuickCam." Click on the chat client or website you are using the Logitech QuickCam on if you are not using the Logitech QuickCam utility. Turn the webcam's focusing ring on the front of the camera to the left or right slowly to focus the camera. You will see your image in the Logitech QuickCam preview window on your notebook's screen. Rotate the webcam's head, if needed, to center your image in the preview window. Hope this helps.

Object of cam out of focus.

Make sure the lens is clean.
Some logitech webcams have a knurled focus ring around the lens you rotate to sharpen the image.
Otherwise launch the logitech toolbar and open the 'Settings' menu ( 2 gearwheels) and you will find all the software adjustments here.

I have a logitech quick cam go, it was working properly but when i detached it and kept it in a box for a day and next again i took it out the image was blurred

Hi my name is Hussainy

There could be two reasons for the blurr ness

1)when you were handling the webcam you might have touched the lense of the cam so clean the lense of the cam.

2)The focus of the cam needs adjustment.....There will be something to adjust the focus....

If you find this post helpfull please vote

No Focus Ring

The button on the camera is for taking "snapshots".

As far as the focus is concerned, I believe thats a "fixed focus" model. Have you tried going through the Logitech control panel?

There may be a "focus" slider on there somewhere under "tools" (the icon looks like a set of gears).

look and see if there is a way to adjust the focus on the camera. On some logitech cameras that center lens piece can rotate, allowing you to change the focus.
