I accidentally uninstalled my printer and I have lost the installation cd for my i860 canon printer.

The drivers are probablly still somewhare in the machine, but forget that for a second. If it's recent you can do a restore to a few days back and get the files back as long as you didn't delete them, Peace, Gym

    Just go to start settings printers and faxes, and "add new printer" if it's not there. It should come right back when you select the model name and model number, as it is still in the computer, just follow the "instal wizard" and you shoul be good to go, thanks, pleas don't forget to rate me as that's how we earn a living, thanks again

    Same here the driver is still in the machine along with the inf just by running add printer

I have a canon i860. It stopped printing documents, but still prints color photos. I have cleaned and deep cleaned the heads, but it still won't print a document.
Firstly have you downloaded the latest driver from Canon's website?
Secondly I suggest you uninstall the printer, disconnect the data cable to the
printer, open the Printers applet in control panel and select File/Server
Properties and click the Drivers tab. Then remove any and all drivers for the
i860. Now run the installer and plug the data cable into the printer when asked
to. See if that helps.
My concern is that if the test page is good then it may not be a printer
problem but removing the old driver from your system as detailed above is well
worth while.

Need to install canon i860 printer. dont have the CD.
You can download the drivers for your model from http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=331&modelid=9387

Be sure to select your correct Operating System, and the drivers will appear for download. There are also links to Manuals and other related Documentation listed there as well.

Once you download the file, double click to run the .exe file and follow the on screen prompts for installation.

I have a new laptop with the Vista operating system. I cannot use my Canon i860 setup software and user Guide CD. From what I've read, the printer is compatible. Am I wrong??
Go to the Canon website and they should have a section to download drivers for Vista.

Does Anyone know how to test Canon i860 AC Adapter??
Yes I know. put the adapter into the plug and switch on, and put the another side in a glass which contains water, then you can observe water avaporate or not. If water avaporate it is working otherwise it is not working. Just try and send me reply [email protected]

Canon i860 "printer offline" but light is blinking
Move mouse pointer on to your printer icon in the Printer folder. Does a right click and click on the sixth line of the menu (“Use printer on line”). Then it will change as “Use printer offline”. Make sure the printer is set as default printer.
