Suggest to first try logging into Facebook using the browser on your tablet instead of the facebook app. If that display is normal in size ... it's probably easiest to
(1) uninstall the Facebook App (Control/Settings/Apps);
(2) reboot the Tablet;
(3) Restart the Tablet and Go to the Google Playstore ...reinstall the Facebook app.
Hi Allison - it's highly doubtful that you only have to click a link and be signed in to your facebook page. Is it possible you were already signed in and then clicked the link? If so, then Facebook would already know you are signed in and display your full page.
Try signing out of facebook and then clicking the link. Does it still seem as if you're signed in? Also check your security settings on facebook and make sure you do not have your profile set to public.
