Volume resets to 26 every time unit powers on

posted by Aenema on Mar 27, 2007

Every time I start the vehicle or power on with the key, the unit goes to a volume setting of 26. It does not remember my last setting and resume it like every other stereo I've owned. Does not matter what mode it is in, (dvd, sd card, cd, radio). I just purchased this from Circuit City as an open box unit and didn't get a manual so I'm struggling a little in getting up to speed.

You can change the start-up volume level by doing the following:

1. Turn the volume onto the desired level
2. Before the yellow volume meter disappears, hold the audio for two seconds and you should hear a beep.
3. Check it by turning off the car and turning it back on again

P.S. - You can download the manual from audiovox.com
