Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer
My 6 year old Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washer has a small water leak, at the end of the cycle. The water is clean and is not coming form any of the hose connections. When I tipped the washer back to look underneath I also noticed a few drops of oil that look like they came from the transmission (I think that is what it is). I have hear the leak may be from the drum seal or maybe a small hole in the drain hose somewhere. Can the oil leak be related? Machine sounds fine when running.
Chances are they are not related if the water is clean. These units can run quite a while dripping small amounts of oil. The drain hose is a possibility but there are other places it can leak from. Call a local tech he can run the machine with the cabinet removed and should be able to find the source of the water leak. good luck
