Question about HP Deskjet D4260 Printer

1 Answer

Paper is struck in the printer and I can not remove. It is too far inside. I can see it but there does not seem to be a way to open the printer to get the paper out.

First, open the main cover and see if you can tug the paper out. If this does not work, look at the back of the printer. You should see a door with two latches on the side. Squeeze the latches to open (like you would open an old-fashioned window screen), and you should be able to tug the paper out from here.

SOURCE: can not close the back cover

a Samsung tecahnician justed fixed it for me. The feeder (at the back cover) just in wrong position, turn it to the opposite way and he recommended that next time if the paper jam no need to open the back cover just turn the printer off and then turn it on, the paper will feed out. But it case you have done as he recommend and it still jam, open it would be possible. (the Feeder I'm not sure what it's call, it were 3 piece of black plastic)

A paper has struck in printer so its not printing how to remove the paper

1) Open the top cover
2) Remove the toner cartridge
3) Remove any paper from the multipurpose tray
4) If you can see the LEADING EDGE of the jammed paper slowly pull it out.
This may be easiest from either the multipurpose tray side or from under the toner cartridge

Copier wont work alarm light is on says paper tray is open.

If you are using any refilled catridges, remove it and try with original one. See if any dust is present or any pieces of paper left or struck inside. Make sure the catridges are not empty. Try it out.
If still it does not happen then call the technician to check the sensor part of the printer.

Stylus CX9400 Photo Printer: paper jammed inside printer...

If paper is jammed, a Paper jam message will appear on the control panel display.

Follow these steps to clear the jam:

  1. Gently pull any jammed paper out of the output tray or sheet feeder.

  2. If the paper is stuck inside, turn off the Epson Stylus CX.

  3. Open the scanner, remove the jammed paper and torn pieces, close the scanner, and turn the Epson Stylus CX back on.

alert_note.gif Note: Be sure to check the far left of the carriage area when checking for jammed paper. Paper that is jammed there may be hidden from view.
If paper jams inside the Automatic Document Feeder, clear the jam as follows:

  1. Open the Automatic Document Feeder cover and remove any jammed paper.

The paper jam button is on, but there doens't seem to be any paper in there. I took the paper tray out and examined the underside of the printer, no visible paper jammed. I undid the back access part,...

power off printer
remove paper tray
open front panel
remove both tonor and phto conductor kit (tonor seats inside of that)
inspect inside the printer

Chances are there is a fragment of paper in the right corner near the paper sensor

replace components
restart printer

Keep me posted

PAPER JAM PRINTER SAYS PAPER JAM IN INPUT TRAYS BUT PAPER DOES NOT SEEM TO BE JAMMING

Paper jams can be tricky to solve. The paper is usually stuck inside the printer mechanism so even if there is no visible paper jam, you will still get the paper jam error. Try this:

1. Turn off your printer
2. Open all trays and remove any paper stuck there
3. Locate the button to open the printer, open it and remove any paper stuck there also.
4. Repeate the above step for all buttons that you can find to access the inside of the printer
5. Close all doors and put back all trays
6. Turn on your printer
