Question about Nikon Coolpix S550 10 Megapixel Digital Camera (Graphite Black) with 5x Optical Zoom + 4GB Memory Ca
I can' find a way o put my pictures from my camera to my computer?
IF YOU BOUGHT THIS CAMERA NEW, IT SHOULD HAVE COME WITH A CABLE THAT IS USED TO CONNECT YOUR CAMERA TO YOUR COMPUTER. THE CABLE IS CALLED AN " AV/USB CABLE UC-E12 ". IF YOU DON'T HAVE THIS CABLE YOU CAN FIND IT ON EBAY OR FROM THE NIKON ONLINE WEBSITE AND IT DOESN'T COST VERY MUCH. THIS SHOULD SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. YOUR USER MANUAL SHOULD HAVE INSTRUCTIONS AS TO HOW TO CONNECT THE CABLE TO YOUR CAMERA AND THEN IT JUST PLUGS INTO ANY EMPTY USB PORT ON YOUR COMPUTER. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP, REPLY TO ARCLIGHT1217. IF THIS HAS BEEN HELPFUL, PLEASE RATE, THANKS!

Your camera came with a USB cable and software to accomplish that feat, but absent that, the easiest way is to pull the 4GB memory card, probably a SD card, and put it into something that your computer can read. .Many printers and computers have a card reader in them, but if you don't, you can buy one for less than $10 at Radio Shack, Sears, Wal-Mart, Office Depot, Office Max, Best Buy or K-mart or online, or just about any local store in your area. Stick the card in that, and stick the other end of the reader into a USB port, and you can read the directory of the card. One of the subdirectories will have all of the pictures in it, and you can copy them directly from the card to the computer, or you can look at them, delete them or print them directly from the card. That is the simplest way, and the way I use. I don't know if I have ever used the cable and software that came with my camera to transfer the photos. It's a waste of time, as far as I am concerned....
You must be certain, of course, that you have saved the pictures to the memory card. If you have saved them to the camera's internal memory, then you must copy or move the pics from the internal memory to the SD card in order to use this method. You should set your camera to always save pictures to the card, since you probably have only about 32MB of internal memory in the camera, and that won't hold many pictures!
