Hi,
Don,t even mess with it if it,s still Warranted/Guaranteed.
Get onto your suppliers, or find out your warranty, and get it replaced, while it,s at the manufacturers expense, they,ll have to replace or refund.
If it,s tampered with, your warranty will become Null And Void.

You could have a problem with the user interface board, which is #97A in the attaced breakdown, part #316225039500. Hope this helps.

Frigidaire electric cooktop locked

I appreciate your post, friend!

I noticed your question is labeled under Frigidaire cooktop model, FEC30S7E. I have located the Use and Care Guide for your cooktop and I was unable to locate a lock feature. You could perform a reset on your appliance and you can do that by unplugging the power cord or flipping the circuit breaker off for ten minutes.
If that does not correct your issue could you please provide me with your model number? Usually you can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) inside your burner box or on the outside of the appliance base. With that information I can look further into your model. I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

Have a gas cooktop that clicks even when the knobs in are in the off position

Good Afternoon Hon,

I understand that your Frigidaire gas cooktop, model# FGC30S4ASA, is clicking even when the knobs are in the off position. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Restore power and listen for the clicking with the burner knobs in the off position. Left front range top burner temerture control issues

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that you are having trouble with the left front burner on your Frigidaire range, model# FEF355. I see that the burner heats up to a glowing red hot temperature, no matter what you set the dial to. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes.

When power is restored, the first thing you will need to do is set the clock. You will do this by pressing the "Clock" button, then within 5 seconds press and hold the up or down arrows until the correct time of day appears.

Once you have set the time, turn on the left front burner, on the lowest setting. If the burner is still glowing red hot, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your range and determine what is causing the burner to glow red hot on all settings. Hope this is helpful.

Stopped working, flashing code F7 and beeping

Hello Michelle, thank you for your inquiry!

Typically error code F7 indicates that your Frigidaire range is experiencing a failure with either the potentiometer or UIB (User Interface Board). Let's try resetting you range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually clears most false error codes. It is best to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on your appliance. If the error code persists, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further.

Whirlpool Cooktop will not reset

Well the solution was to unplug the 220Volt connection for one minute--plug it back in--reset the clock, hit start and bingo it worked. I found on the back of the stove the technicians schematic, and error codes in a plastic envelope that described the procedure for finding--isolating--and solving the issue by the use of the error codes, which were not avaialable online anywhere but in the diagram and description for a technician's use.
I saved myself $109 dollars by avoiding the call out, but still my breakfast was four hours late!
